We met at NAIDOC Friday, at the market stall for the State Library Queensland. It was so much fun. We had crossword puzzles for ages 5 years to 14 years based on Rodney’s book, a turtle picture maze, and the Leatherback Turtle page for colouring in for the kids. The colouring in prints of the turtle disappeared super fast! I will ensure that Barbara takes more next time we go to an event 😍 so the kids are super happy.
The National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week 2023: “For Our Elders” was celebrated from Sunday 2 July – Sunday 9 July 2023.
Although it rained most of the day (and the night before) it did clear by noon and we had a wonderful time. There were beautiful, happy children, art, music and lots of happy people out celebrating their special day.
Plenty of people had heard about my book. Agnes’ mum bought one for her and the pictures and the video below were taken of Agnes by her mum while she was colouring.
